 New vehicle condition fraud, also known as automobile misrepresentation
or auto fraud, occurs when a car seller or exporter cheat the buyer/importer
by selling used vehicle as new vehicle. The seller/exporter misrepresents the condition of a new vehicle, potentially leading to significant financial loss and safety risks for the buyer. This can involve concealing damage vehicle, falsifying odometer readings, or misrepresenting the vehicle's mileage. In some cases seller/exporter buy several month old and used car from the auction houses. Then change vehicle's tires, engine cleaning, interior cleaning, change odometer or rewing odometer and sell/export as "new car". In other cases, seller/exporter purchased less than one year old accidented damaged car, repair it, rewind odometer and sell to overseas buyer as "new car". HOW TO AVOID NEW CAR FRAUD: A "new vehicle verification certificate" issued by "Japan Inspection Organization" which is also attested by "Japan Anti Fraid Organization" can avoid risk of possible fraud. |
